      <image:title>Home - APRIL MALMSTEEN</image:title>
<image:caption>FOUNDER Founder and Director April Malmsteen is a third-generation philanthropist. Her grandmother, a doctor, was very active in her philanthropy. April's earliest memories were of her accompanying her grandmother with boxes of supplies from food and toy stores to bring to foster homes. The effect her grandmother had on the children - their faces lighting up as soon as they saw her - has stuck with April all throughout to today. April is an entrepreneur with many interests and achievements throughout the music, fashion, and cosmetic industries, but she's most passionate about her philanthropic work. She started her first company at the age of 18, going from being a model to starting her first modeling agency in the United Kingdom. With the success of that, she left the UK to move to the United States. She has managed Yngwie Malmsteen for 17 years, directing his career and netting worldwide touring, media, and record deals. April formed the Guitar Gods Festival, which aimed to give budding musicians a spotlight on their work via online and in-person contests and performances, whilst also raising awareness for endangered animals. April also founded Medusa Cosmetics as a passion project, and is in the process of publishing her book, due for release next year. Her first project with April Way Children’s Foundation involves the new Yngwie Malmsteen album, Parabellum. The mural is the work of David Banegas, a world-renowned visual artist and painter. The mural was produced in order to raise awareness and funds for children in foster care - who especially need those things during this difficult time. The original painting will be auctioned off to support children in foster care.</image:caption>

<image:caption>Yngwie Johann Malmsteen is a world-renowned guitarist known as the father of neoclassical guitar. His career has spanned over 40 years, with over twenty albums to his name. Drawing influence from classical composers such as Bach, Paganini, and Vivaldi, Yngwie is responsible for birthing the neoclassical genre to the world of rock. As a Grammy-nominated artist, Yngwie’s music has earned him many awards, including being listed as one of TIME Magazine’s Greatest Guitar Players of All Time. He has created music in many different venues, from instrumental rock albums to orchestral suites. Yngwie was one of the first artists to receive a signature model Stratocaster from Fender, alongside Eric Clapton and Jeff Beck. His hands are cemented in the RockWalk in Los Angeles. His music has even been to space, being one of the few chosen artists included in a capsule launched by Jeff Bezos’ Blue Origin in 2020! Yngwie is serving as the subject on April Way Foundation’s first collaboration project.</image:caption>
